Over the last 15 years, there has been design changes aimed at making LiteGait clinically more and more useful. I have asked for and the design team at Mobility Research has responded with what I consider the best LiteGait yet. LGI360EB is an adult unit with the FlexAble yoke and the BiSym scale and a double actuator capable of lifting 360 pound patient 32 inches. This rating compare to LGI350 which was 350 pound and 28 inches does not seem to be something to get excited about. However, the extra stroke comes with a surprisinf shorter retracted height. This means the device has a shorter min height even though the same max height. If you are lifting someone from the edge of the mat or out of a wheelchair, the device needs to be at min height so that you can be nearest to the patient's head. LGI-360EB has a min height just right to lift patients of different heights out of a chair while still have enough stroke to accomodate the treadmill.
The distance of the yoke from the head determines the play in the straps which directly affects how much trunk stability a more involved patient can receive from LiteGait. Additionally, LGI-360 has two seperate motorized lift mechanisms integrated into one which means pushing both up buttons lifts at speeds twice that of the older single actuator models.
