We had MVA pt. - pins in foot, pins in wrist, shattered pelvis in a TLSO, partially fused elbow, broken femur, etc. Until the day he stood in the LG he knew (felt) his life was over.  After the first day, he thought he might have a chance....after the first week he knew he had a chance....after the first month he KNEW HE WOULD have a chance at a nearly normal life.  After 8 months (long arduous months of therapy) he WALKED out on crutches.  The Rehab manager, the admissions staff and the executive director all could not believe we made it happen.  And I personally know and the patient believes that without the LG he would not have been able to
