The ischial tuberosities are not necessarily a landmark for the groin straps. I think it depends largely on the patient's anatomy whether this will be the case or not. The important factor with the groin piece is that all slack is removed; and when removing the slack you use a two-handed technique, pulling up and out (into adductor surface of thigh) on the padding then pulling down on the free end of the strap to tighten.
