Thank you for your purchase of LiteGait unit. There are a few things which we can check to make sure you have power flowing to your actuator (lifting column). The following steps can be used on all LiteGait I models with the similar problem.

Note: after each step please test the unit by pressing the up button to see if the actuator responds.

1) On the control box there is a small display. What does this display show?
Does it show four full black bars? Or does it show 'STOP'?

2) If the display shows 'STOP' then proceed to step 3. If the display does show the four black bars then please proceed to step 5

3) Is the LiteGait plugged into the wall?
If so, please unplug the LiteGait from the wall. The plug is to charge the battery and the unit will not operate while it is plugged in.
If the LiteGait is not plugged in please proceed to step 4

4) If the unit is unplugged and you still are getting 'STOP' on the display, check the red stop button on the control box. The red stop button should be released. To release the button turn it clock wise and it will pop up.
If the stop button is released and 'Stop' is still on the display then please proceed to step 5.
If the display show the four black bars and it is not responding please proceed to step 6

5) If you remove the small metal cover you will see where the connections are made to the control box. Please check that all of the connections are being made. You may refer to the attachment for a diagram for where everything should be plugged in.
If the unit is still not responding please proceed to step 6

6) If your LiteGait has not responded and you can see the four full black bars then press and hold the up button for about 15 seconds and release. After holding the button and releasing it. Test the LiteGait.

If you have followed the above steps and your LiteGait is still not working please contact Mobility Research's Technical support office for further assistance.

My facility just purchased a new LiteGait I. We were able to unpack and assemble the LiteGait but it will not move up or down. What suggestions do you have?
